THE CELL PHONE A BENEFICIAL METHOD IN THE CLASSROOM?

The use of cell phones in the classroom can be beneficial, since it is a contribution to the search for information, which transforms the cell phone into a new teaching-learning method.

Using the cell phone properly and moderately is a contribution to learning in classes, because it is another method of searching and find for information, which allows to enrich the knowledge of both the student and the teacher with new bibliographies, authors or theories, with respect to the subject treated.

Another benefit of using the cell phone in the classroom is the speed with which it searches and finds the desired information, for this reason they may prefer the cell phone before going to look for information in library books.

Besides, the use of cell phone in the classroom, it's a method of adapting to society, but including it to studies and not only as a social media addiction; for this reason the cell phone should not be banned, but considered as a benefit.

THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION IN THE NATION

How important is education in the nation?

Education allows the growth of the nation, so it is very important that it is present in society, through people, because, each person helps to shape society in different aspects, because of this, education is divided into formal, non-formal and informal, which allows strengthening the growth of society.

The different types of education contribute and enrich the society in diverse contexts, such as cultural, moral, academic, among others; For example: Formal education, which is the academic aspect, helps society with training professionals and having a certification of their studies; the second non-formal education, which is the cultural aspect, brings to society the diverse cultures and the way of life of them, finally non-formal education,which is the personal aspect, involves the person and contributes to society with the ethical and moral. For these reasons, these types of education allow for growth in society, since they strengthen it in different areas and complement each other.

THE IMPORTANCE OF RESPECT “TOWARDS ONESELF AND TOWARDS OTHERS”.

In the following text, a problem of education will be written, whose common objective is the "respect", which according to the RAE is synonymous with "veneration", that is, the consideration and special appreciation of someone or something.  In Chile, in the context of society and the community, respect must be the most important thing to live in harmony, however, there is a certain type of harassment called bullying.

WHAT IS BULLYING?

Bullying it is a type of physical or psychological harassment that is repeatedly produced to a specific person. According to studies, the results of bullying are more frequent within schools and between their same age range. It is worrying because children are in full development and this produces problems that affect their social and emotional relationships.as well as problems in their social and physical development in the future.

For this reason, it is important to be guided by specialists in the topic, such as psychologists or doctors, to guide and support children, so that they understand what is happening and not cause sequels, both in the present and in the future. besides, it is necessary to help both the child and "victim", as well as children as "aggressor".

THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF BULLYING:
They are classified into three types of bullying, because bullying affects various parts of children, such as:

• Psychological: Corresponds to a known "bullying-emotional", which can be a direct or indirect insult. It is also characterized by a bad interaction of dialogue, which causes internal harm. (Involves insult among children).
• Physical: Corresponds to any physical contact between the aggressor, the witnesses and the victim, without the consent of the latter person. It is also a body action that causes beatings and fights. (Causes physical damage to children).
• Cyberbullying: Corresponds to bullying produced by technology and is used to attack by social networks. This type of bullying is viralized by the community, because not only the conflict is between the pairs, but it is by social networks, such as; Facebook, Whastapp, Instagram, Correos, among others. In addition, it involves images, videos, messages. (Causes emotional and psychological damage to children).

These types of bullying are involved between two or more people. In this context, the victim and the aggressor are involved. The aggressor intends to harm, believes to have superiority over the victim, who does not cause any kind of provocation. Bullying implies a continuous repetition of ridicule or aggression and can lead to social exclusion of the victim.

WAY TO DETECT:

• In the personal aspect of the children, change of behavior and self-esteem, does not transmit their feelings and neither thoughts.
• In the social aspect of children, he does not interact with his friends or with his relatives.
• In the academic aspect of the children, there are present the problems that involve the establishment, they do not want to attend classes, low performance, lose or do not arrive with their materials.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:
In the classroom, promote in education the application of values, self-control, respect, tolerance and dialogue. Create, through dialogue, a certain type of group work, for the interaction of all and that can express what they feel.

         Other type solution:

• It must involve the family of all those involved (aggressor-victim).
• Use the  bullying which aims to promote well-being and good school coexistence in the establishment.
• Report on Law N° 20.536, which corresponds to the "Law on bullying". (This law does not directly affect the students, but involves the establishment so that they are governed by the internal regulations).
• Propose a treatment with psychological and social help, both for the "victim as well as the aggressor", because for both children it causes a problem in their development and perhaps future sequels to relate.

Bio data

Miss Moira Sandoval Suazo lived and grew up with her family in Rancagua of Chile.

She graduated from the "Commercial Diego Portales" high school, located in Rancagua and obtained the title of "accounting technician" in the year 2016. At his 19 years of age she travel to Santiago to begin his university career. She began to study at the University of Chile, the career of "preschool education" in the year 2017.

With new subjects Moira Sandoval learned theory and practice, directly related to the subject of children, but also learned the importance of research, health, history, biography and methods to better understand the development of children. She is currently at her second year in the University, she is interested in studying the development of children, especially "fine and gross motor skills".

Her favorite subject is "pedagogical knowledge of psychomotor skills", especially in the first cycle (children from 0 to 3 years old). She likes the subject because it joins the psychological and motor skills and these topics help to understand the development of children.

Finally, Moira Sandoval to complement her studies, she wants to study to "magister in research", because she wants to expand her knowledge and be a good professional.

BLOG 10: English Language Challenges

Hello my dear friends!

Today I will talk about my experience writing blogs every week, every Tuesday of this semester in English class!  Also today is the last blog I write in this semester in English.

Before studying at the university, I did not practice, write or read in English, I just liked to listen to or sing songs in English! I think it's difficult and complicated. In English classes is where I practice and learn this language better.

I do not have friends abroad, but I do have friends who can speak, write and read fluently and perfectly. I would like to one day be able to know and master the language of English, as my friend does! Because I would like to travel abroad, but English is essential and my goal is to learn it.

In English class, I wrote weekly, but being honest, I bored a lot the activity of writing blogs on the computer and commenting. I did comment on the blogs of my colleagues, but I did not like it!

In order to improve it, is more important and learn English conversing , to have more security and trust. Also a suggestion for the English course, I would like you to do a type of exam "taking out each class papers with themes", because in each class by practicing speaking with new words and being a good method to learn in a fun and creative.

Finally, English is very important, to travel abroad and meet new people.

BLOG 9: Changes to my study program

Hello my friends!
Today I will talk about the changes that I would like to apply in the career.

I study the preschool education career, I am in the second year and during this time the subjects if I like, some are related to children and family, others are theory, investigation, children's development and practice.

But what I need to change is to add more subjects with a direct relationship with the children.Some topics such as: health - creativity – communication- mobility. Because they would help in the practice of the race, how to communicate with the children and the family, how to move in the kindergarten and what movements are appropriate for the development of the children, health and creativity, to make learning experiences that are not risky and also contribute to art and new knowledge.

I would also like to change, add subjects from the different careers of the faculty, know the cultures, communicate with the people, investigate the reality of the families and have a greater knowledge. also add electives of faculty, it would be a new and good experience, that there are subjects with different careers.

With regard to teachers, I would like a greater capacity of them, so classes can be organized for the entire career.

Finally the subject of the scholarships, which are more accessible and are assigned to those who really need it! I like that they not only give scholarships to pay for the race, but also photocopy and lunch scholarships that are very helpful.

BLOG 8: A subject you have enjoyed a lot this semester!

I will talk about to my favorite subject this semester in the University...

 

I study the preeschool education and my favorite subject this semester is the "Pedagogical Knowledge of Psychomotricity", because It is interesting to understand the development of another person, and also to children it is very important to know the right positions for their development.

I think that a free development for a child it is very important, because it does not affect the natural process and also autonomy is strengthened and the confidence to move.

There is theory and practice in the classes of this subject, because we have a better knowledge. The main topics of the subject are psychomotricity, affectivity, timely stimulation and development of the children. All these topics are united to know how to act and interact with children, it is special with children from 0 to 3 years old or with children in the first cycle.

In the future, when I job as an educator in a kindergarten, this subject will be of great help, because not only do you take care of the children, but you also have to educate them and this knowledge must be appropriate to encourage their movements and they will develop and grow with good psychomotor skills. 

As mentioned before,  in the classes of this subject is the opportune stimulation, which is according to the child and not an early stimulation that advances the movements

BLOG 7: Carrer-Related Website OR An Expert on your Field

In this blog I will give information about his personal life, his studies and his achievements of the person whom I admire!

The person that I admire in my career that is "pedagogy in the preschool" is María Montessori, it is very interesting because she contributed a lot to the education of the children.

Besides Maria Montessori was born in eighteen seventy in Italy and she died in nineteen, fifty two. This person studied medicine and she specialized in psychiatry. And besides was also a member of the psychiatric clinic. This helped her to relate to children (girls and boys from the kindergarten and schools)

I chose to María Montessori for the important the great contribution she made to education with the “Method Montessori”. This method is based on helping to children whait special needs. It is very important for the development and growth of children, also to this day the "montesorri method" is used in kindergartens and schools. It also helps children develop independence, freedom with limits and respect for the physical and social environment.

These materials of the Montessori Method have the main purpose of wanting to release the potential of each one! I admire this person for promoting the freedom and development of children, I think it is a good methodology and I would like to learn more about this topic to apply in the future as an educator in the kindergarten!

BLOG 6: POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Hello my friend!

Today I will talk about my postgraduate studies at the university!

I would like to study postgraduate on "Educational Psychology", because I am currently studying preschool education and I think it's a good idea to continue with the topic of education.

Also it is very important to have another vision about education and I can to develop my professional career with new learnings.

I would like to study the subject of research, because I can understand and analyze the school community, and also relate the topic of psycho-socio-cultural associated to the different educational contexts.

I would like to study in Latin America, specifically Chile, because it is located closer to my family and I already know the language perfectly. I want a full-time apprenticeship, because I really want to learn it and apply it to practice in kindergarten!

Besides studying a full-time course, it allows me to learn and better understand the techniques, skills and resources to apply in the classroom or in the educational community with kindergarten children!

Another postgraduate that I would like to study would be the postgraduate on "visual arts", because it is related to the artistic and corporal expression of children and I find it very important that in their growth and development they can have this theme. Nevertheless, to study postgraduate on "Educational Psychology" is my priority!

BLOG 5: Your reflections on the demonstrations at FACSO

Hello, today i will talk about feminist sit-in!

My reflection on the demonstrations in FACSO, is separated between the personal reflections and the group reflections of the students.

It was a feminist sit-in, which caused a social change and a vision about women, women as students, professionals, workers and as persons.

This feminist sit-in helped to value the achievements and rights of women who were invisible, because only men were valued. In addition, this is the social change that takes place, it is not a society or an education related to patriarchy, it is changed to equality and non-sexist education.

Personally, the feminist sit-in on a closeness with my colleagues and with the women of the faculty, that without being friends, we had a common thought and a fight for equality.

Although in this feminist sit-in, I did not participate directly by going on to marches or sleeping in the faculty, but I arrived a few days at the faculty and I felt the support and the desire that everyone had to achieve it. Also a demand was written

A woman in society must have confidence and courage, not only because she is a woman, but because she is a person, just like men, she strives and struggles to be a professional and live her life.

I will talk about my future job

I am currently studying "pedagogy in preschool education" at the university. I do not think about another career, because I love my career, every day in the subjects and practice,i learn important topics that are useful to reflect, value, understand and love the career.

I would like to work in a kindergarten, but in a rural setting, in the open air not only in the classrooms, for children to explore and observe nature. I imagine in kindergarten with children from two years to seven years, because in childhood experiences begin.

I like the outdoors because the boys and girls can explore and know nature, also stimulate the Gross Motor and Fine Motor Skills of children

I would not like to travel a lot in my job, because I want to stay in the growth of the groups of children and to participate in their physical, psychological and emotional development.

The preschool education career is not just "childcare", this career is to educate, teach, explore, meet the needs, make timely stimulation and participate in the growth and development of children. Childhood is the best time for people and being part of this stage is what I love!

POST 3: ANIMALS

Hello my friends

I will tell you something I like a lot and it is the animals!

I love the animals, all types, large, small, mammals, oviparous, domestic or wild.

I like that they are free, that their way of life is calm and without worries, I believe that animals have very good feelings.

In my family they all have pets, in my house we have a pet, it is a dog, its name is Morocha. Everyday we go to the park to play and run, my pet likes to eat his food and cookies. It is fun and playful, also sleeps on the beds.

Always help the animals, with the monetary budget or with care, food, water and love.

My favorite animal is the owl, his big eyes, his neck, which spin, and the color of their feathers, Is very pretty, but my favorite pet is dogs, because they play and are furry and I like to run with them and comb them!

I would like to travel and meet the animals in their habitat, where they are free and happy, I would like to touch them and take pictures, so I keep that memory of them.

POST 2: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STUDY YOUR CAREER?

Hello, my Friends!

When I was a child I wanted to study medicine, also I wanted to work in a hospital, because I liked to take care peoples health.

At the moment of applying to university, I never thought in choosing the University of Chile. The other career options were in medicine, veterinary science and also preeschool education, because take care to the people, but specifically children and it is my vocation.

I understood that all the career they are related to caring for people and with the feelings. Finally, I decided to study the career the preschool education, because he also cares about people, but specifically about children.

My experience in the University until now is excellent, my teachers and classmates are good people and also  my career.  when I return to kindergarten, I am with a lot of energy and happiness. I would like to have a job in which I can relate to the children of a kindergarten. but I would also like to work abroad, carry out activities in green areas, where children have space to play and observe nature.

I would like to visit the country the United States of America, because it is a big country and i would liket to know that it is big Parks and beautiful landscape. Besides it is an overpopulated country and whit many turistic cities. I would like to meet the wonderful people who live there, know their culture, their religion and their language.

It i go the i will visit the Walt Disney World, because it is the greatest wish of my life, also i like the food that is in that place, the clothing and the games that are very enjoyable and extreme.

Besides I would take a camera to take a photo of the landscapes, castles, games, parks and characters with their clothes that belong to that place.

I would like holiday and visit the United States of America, but i wouldn´t like live there, because i will miss so much to my family and my pet. I prefer live in Chile, collecting photograp and travel to many place of the world.
